Description

This is a first shot at a character concept I have been thinking about: a manufactured human living with her alien benefactor.  The rough sketch back story is that an alien entity recovers a badly damaged creature that was the captive of it's enemy, a similarly powerful alien entity.  Using the mangled remains and working out the function of DNA, the alien synthesizes a life form it believes to be faithful to the original beings and educates it as best as it can.  My story would have to do with the alien and it's "child" finding Earth and trying to integrate her with naturally born humans and possibly defending Earth against the other, more evil alien entity.  I see her as not really human as she was made and raised by the alien but clearly not really it's offspring either, maybe more like a cherished pet trying to develop an identity and sense of self.  The crown-like headpiece she wears permits her instant, telepathic communication with her "parent".  She may have some other surprising abilities beyond those of normal humans as a result of her strange genesis.

Any thoughts about her?  Any situations that you might be interested in seeing her in?

One last anatomical note and challenge: do you notice anything unusual about her anatomy?  If you do, can you guess why she is different from other humans?:)

Molly's art notes: This was set up and rendered in Poser Pro 2014 using the Firefly rendering engine.  I have been trying to learn to use IDL (Indirect Diffuse Lighting) and this set up is nearly all subdued light sources.  Can you guess my favorite color? :giggle:  I took it into Photoshop to add just a hint of warmth as all the blue made the rendering look pretty cold.  Lighting and textures is where I still need to work...

I tried it in Octane but I was unable to get the materials of the alien hangar and space craft to glow properly.  So much to learn...

Oh yes... all that you see was legally obtained and modified by teh Mollz.  If you have a desire to acquire these meshes and the original textures she can point you to the vendors.

As a work of art, well done Ms. Molly, as a concept, fantastic and superb, fresh and innovative idea. I think the closest that comes to mind when I read about her was the first star trek pilot, and a few other story ideas of rebuilding a human without knowing what a human should be like. Yours is one of the approaches that is a twist from the others in that she looks fine and didn't take the horrific human approach the others did.

Great fabric work and love how her eyes are a bit deeper green (I'm sure there is a proper color name for them, but chalk it up to 'simpler guy color pallet'), than might be expected for a natural born human or seems so. A bit sparse in the chest, but like her anorexic thin figure, that's purely a personal taste to what I find attractive.

It makes sense that she doesn't have a belly button given her reconstruction. No womb, no need for one. For that matter, it explains the scarcity in the breast department, she wouldn't need to feed any offspring.

Her crown has an interesting look, sort of neon, but muted, matching the background, which I presume is the alien technology.

This would be great in the written medium, but for the visual, she doesn't personally engage me to want to see more of her. However, she would to read more. A very wonderful concept Ms. Molly. I love your imagination.
