Comparison of Luxrender and Poser

Just a simple pose to demonstrate how I am coming along with Luxrender and how different a scene looks when rendered with that engine rather than the Firefly engine that is intrinsic to Poser. To my eye, Luxrender gives a more realistic result especially with hair. Sadly, even with the help of the Reality translation program I am still not able to get all the materials quite right.

Poser's Firefly engine is a biased renderer and is maybe less realistic but maybe more dramatic. It's hard to do a fair comparison because the lights and materials are different in the two renderers although the mesh and camera position is identical.

I hope those of you who follow me will let me know what you think of these two... which you like better: the more realistic look of Luxrender or the more dramatic look of Firefly. I will doubtless continue dabbling with both rendering engines and maybe pick up yet another one to mess with as time goes on.
